The suit accuses them of an elaborate frame-up and cover-up, claiming they “manufactured evidence” and “conspired to violate her constitutional rights.” Read is seeking millions in damages for emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and civil rights violations.Social media exploded within hours. Supporters are calling it “the real trial we deserved,” while critics say it’s nothing more than a desperate PR stunt.

The Albert/McCabe/Higgins Defamation CounterattackThe same day Read filed her lawsuit, the so-called “House Defendants” fired back with a blistering statement labeling her claims “a vile work of fiction” and vowing to sue both Read and blogger Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney for defamation.Legal experts say the defamation fight could drag on for years and force even more embarrassing discovery—including text messages, phone records, and possibly new witness depositions.
